Choose how you want to finish your Vivid Stitch Art design. These tutorials show different ways to turn your raw edge appliqué pattern into wall art, home decor, drink mats, wearable appliqué, or a tote bag.
Important: No-sew finishes are for display only. If your project will be handled, washed, worn, used as a coaster, mug rug, pillow, garment, or tote, all exposed raw appliqué edges should be stitched.

Sewn vs. No-Sew Finishes
No-sew wall art is for display only. It is not meant to be washed, worn, handled often, or used as a functional item.
For functional projects such as coasters, mug rugs, pillow covers, garments, and tote bags, use a sewable fusible web and stitch all exposed raw appliqué edges.
What the Pattern Provides
Your Vivid Stitch Art pattern includes the appliqué design, templates, placement guidance, and pattern files. The finish tutorials on this page show optional ways to turn the design into different finished projects.

Can I make every design in every finish?
Not always. Some finishes work better with certain sizes. Check each tutorial for recommended size and method notes.
Can I make a no-sew coaster, mug rug, pillow, garment, or tote?
No. No-sew is for display-only wall art. Functional or handled items should have stitched appliqué edges.
Do I need to use the pattern background fabric for garments or totes?
No. For direct garment or tote appliqué, the garment or tote fabric becomes the background.
Where should I start as a beginner?
Start with No-Sew Wall Art if you do not want to sew. If you want a sewn project, start with the Coaster or Sewn Mini Quilt Wall Art tutorial.
